I just got a little email from Jiej'.
Jiej is the human version of Tivo. She knows what I am interested in and she sends along little suggestions to keep me tuned in.
She likes to keep me informed, or obsessy.
The one alert she gave me ages ago was for the Missoni line of clothing at Target. A full line of mod clothing and accessories that were cheap and super cool.
People lined up outside of Target stores at the wee hours of the morning and woke themselves with alarms to online shop.
The line sold out everywhere in a few hours and I was not obsessy enough to participate.
Darling Jiej just sent me this little teaser, and knowing how much I love Gwen Stefani, her style and this being translated into affordable Mimi clothes . I may be setting my alarm.
I love No Doubts cover and I love Gwen's clothes! this girl knows how to wear vintage.

Its All In The Game
I had the extreme pleasure of attending a Detroit Tiger baseball game with Uncle Tim and Alice. The day was perfect! Detroit at its most wonderful.
Terry and I were invited along to celebrate Aunt Alice's birthday and "Holy Mama" I basked in every single moment.
My Dear Dad used to take us girls to the Tiger games when we were young. He would be so excited to take us to the old stadium. He would anxiously brief us on the stats of every player on both teams.(Dear Ole Pa was a bit obsessive in that way).
After all, he was the lone male in a house full of chicks, he had to impart his sporty wisdom on one of us.
We would each get our score card with a little pencil to keep track of RBI's and junk like that.
I truly remember how much I wolfed down the food and how I chose my fave players based on how cute they were in their pictures.
In our household with two television screens, dad would relegate himself to his car am radio to catch the latest games. How guilty should my sisters and I feel? Quite.
Truth be told, my dad probably sealed himself into a Chevy version of a "Cone of Silence" to escape with Ernie Harwell and the sound of the crack of the bat.
My mom still obsessively follows the team, keeping us abreast of all of the major league activities.
I admit that I haven't revealed that I go to the game to eat the glorious hot dogs, drink the cold beer, and watch for the cutest players as they appear on the Trinitron.
The Tigers are doing great, by the way, so for us all is well with the world.
As I entered the beautiful Comerica park I searched for the score cards and little pencils to keep score a little hand in for Dad. I guess they don't do that anymore.

Aunt Alice and Uncle Tim holding down the fort
Well what do you know, I am already eons behind in my blogging again.
The summer has been full , but hasn't every ones?
After moving my mom into her lovely digs and JieJie into her lovely digs .I am slowly trying to clear away years of clutter and start rethinking this rather large house for our three dwellers.
I got up the other morning to find Terry and Mimi/Mary reclining on our living room couch in their underpants.
As much as I was tempted to grab the camera and document the moment, I held back.
In Terry and my 11 year history here in this house, we have had a member of extended family living with us, so undies in the living room were not the norm.
The house had definitely taken on a very different vibe and we are becoming accustomed to the quiet.
I must say that in the solitude, I have been a mad woman, spending hours moving and purging getting ready for fresh paint and rethought living areas.
For now though I am posting some lovely summer photo memories . I am putting it in a big fat scrambled up, not in chronological order, many great moments of our summer lump. Although it was very short, and the approaching Michigan winter is insanely long. I must be honest and say that I am happy to be beginning a new era in Sipes Manor.
