I am so behind in my blogging. When Jiej and Mary look at this in times to come they will notice a slight gap.
Mary and I have just returned from visiting my darling sister Mary(Aunt Mimi).
We of course spent some time at WDW, and it was wonderful.
Although, I have discovered that I have left reality somehow and everyone has lost manners.
I am getting older, perhaps more cantankerous , but the basic please and thank you has virtually disappeared from the planet.
Have we gotten this low? Where the very teeniest of tiny manner that is taught to a two year old doesn't exist?
At the Magic Kingdom, I witnessed endless brow beaten, anxious and crabby "cast members" who had obviously been defeated by lack of civility.
I was waited on in a fast service restaurant and a woman commended my ability to use please and thank you. I bet she would love to have this video playing all of the time.
I was just in a local Baskin and Robbins, a child was sent in because his father had a dog.
The young man briskly ordered a vanilla ice cream, sugar cone, cup of water lots of ice.... the silence of please or thank you was deafening.
I sent Mimi to get her cone and the child came barreling in, interrupted our conversation, "My dad needs water", and "what ice cream do you offer for dogs?"
I tapped him on the shoulder, said "Excuse me, these ladies are waiting on other people" I then turned to him and said" try waiting your turn, then saying excuse me,and then saying please and then saying thank you at the end". "It will get you much further(or farther, not sure) in the world".
The eight year old kid looked at me like I was crazy and stepped aside(it could be because I kicked him).

The Bare Necessities
Mary and I are visiting Aunt Mimi.
It just so happens that we must make a turn into Disney World, just for a day or two.

Beauty Mark
My two beautiful babies are on their way to my baby sister's bridal shower.
Mary got all decked out including the wonderful Kate Middleton fascinator(her choosing) and bright red lips to match her sister's.
I would normally not allow this plying of "Jungle Red" but she puts it on flawlessly and I really love her joie de vivre.
I also knew that with all red lipstick it would be gone by the time we got to the party.

Independence Day

Happy Mary Day 2011
We started with a grand parade, followed by bagels and lox, followed by sunning ourselves, followed by a barbecue, followed by cake and sparklers, followed by fireworks and ending with a movie on the outdoor screen.
Thank you to all of the friends and family that were there to celebrate Mary's Day ,
