The Art of the Tortellini
I have always been a "slow cook".
When JieJie was growing up, I baked the bread, made the sauces, assembled the salsa and dahls and rolled pasta.
I never ever made a dumpling of any sort that was successful.
I oft attempted crab won ton,pierogi,ravioli,samosa.
Any tiny bit of food packed into a wrapper made my life miserable,with the exception of some Mexican "rolled foods".
JieJie has mastered the art of pasta making and taught Mimi. They assembled the dough , hand rolled the pasta and made the filling.
I think that this next generation will keep me in tiny little individual foods for a while.
