Candy Man

Halloween was as lovely as ever.
For the first time in a long time, we had JieJie with us. We had good weather and we saw some great costumes.
We usually have the Andersons with us. This year we had Uncle Dan(Aunt Julie was in Columbia), he came bearing pitcher of delightful margaritas(for our Mexican feast).

Uncle Dan and Aunt Julie also  usually end up manning our front door, due to my cooking and/or over socializing with my guests.

Annabel was originally an Indian princess, she changed her mind at the last minute

Mimi is a Gothic Vampira, which is another way of saying "princess like lady" in black

Terry took Mimi and Annabel out to trick or treat. I was serving enchilada and shredded beef burritos, and Dan was answering the door and doling out candy to the little people of our neighborhood.

The fire was blazing, the pumpkins were glowing, and I was dressed as the bride of Frankenstein.  I did feel that I looked more like a contestant that gets voted down on "Ru Paul's Drag Race".

We  do have a tendency to forget, every year, that past 8:00 pm, the trick or treaters turn into adults(often without costumes) ,so by default we did give out candy to people that were at least 20 years old.

Earlier in the day we visited with Aunt Cindy, we had lunch and she told us she was on her way home to put up her Christmas tree. I guess, these days that is the natural progression of things.
